Testability in design is an important topic, so I am glad you cover it. However, this section seems especially verbose to me.
Page 138: Devices in UNIX are typically notated with a leading slash; e.g. /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend
Page 139: The trick about test-only methods and assertions seems like a hack to me.

Page 140, para -3: "Hotspot" should be "HotSpot".
Some re-implementations occur even in OSS (integer-only OGG, for example). There are technical reasons to want to re-implement a specification, even in the OSS world.

This section doesn't deal with testing as much as with the idea that wizards lower the learning curve of the API.
