Let me tell you someting about new sinergy between AutoUpdate and Ant.

NetBeans 6.8 is almost out of the door and it is the right time to think about improvements for NetBeans 6.9. One of the painful tasks one has to deal with is (headless) setup of netbeans:AutoUpdateTask. With simple syntax and just with plain Ant one can prepare own, personal and tailored NetBeans platform. This is probably only useful for Ant developers, users of Maven will prefer to deal with its own repository, but still: netbeans:NBM format has been with use since last century and it is good it is now easily usable with Ant.
