I use NetBeans on Fedora (although I usually don't use the packages from the distro), and I certainly wouldn't mind taking a look at what's involved - maybe I can help. It seems like you meant to put a link on where to "sign up for it", but it's not there.

I use netbeans in ubuntu and in the past have used in Suse linux
