Eclipse MicroProfile is a set of formerly JavaEE specifications (like CDI) packaged into a new "profile". Ideally this would be a new version of JavaEE - a MicroProfile edition, but it somehow didn't work out.

There are various implementations of the specification. The most important from my perspective is Helidon.
