In my [[Blogs:JaroslavTulach:Theory:Dependencies Are Impotant Type of API|yesterday's post]] I promised to write a note once a week. However, things in real life are never like envisioned in planning phase. Today I stopped in my work and faced a little bit of confusions about [[wikipedia::NetBeans]] module dependencies. Some guys wanted the [[NetBeans Platform]] to start to depend on [[wikipedia::batik]]. Indeed this is not really desirable. If we want the [[NetBeans Platform]] to be easily embeddable in other applications, it is not wise to grow our external dependencies over reasonable limit.
