The Key Stone of European Knowledge
From APIDesign
A book by Petr Vopěnka about the history of geometry and its influence on the way we today percieve the world. This book heavily influenced the philospohical parts of TheAPIBook and I'd like to recommend it to everyone. Alas I was not able to, because The Key Stone of European Knowledge is written in Czech and there does not seem to be any translation. However today I finished reading "IsGodAMathematician?" and I think I can recommend it instead. It has its omissions, but it is still a very good book to read to understand the difference between rationalism and empiricism (and to value cluelessness).
