JRuby is an implementation of Ruby on top of JVM. JRuby was one of the example dynamic languages that provided motivation to add invokeDynamic instruction into the JVM. Recently an enhanced version based on Truffle has been announced (now subproject of JRuby) that runs ten times faster than original JRuby.
