Very nice article. I tried a commercial tool JRebel it solves the problem by reloading classes in the JVM by without any restart.

Thanks Faisal. I know JRebel is probably the best commercial offering out there. As it is very successful, I did not feel it needs more promotion and thus I called it "some commercial tools". But I will probably have to give it some credit. I was pointed to a nice article by JRebel founder. One its half is a promotional trash talk, but the rest is interesting and I shall probably expand my talk about hotswap to cover that aspects too.
