What is role of a [[manager]] when designing an [[API]]?
[[I]] have almost forgotten how it felt working on [[NetBeans]] at the end of nineties and in the early years of this century! Of course, it is more than ten years ago! Who should remember all the pain the project had to go through to settle on the rules for proper [[API]] design (as described in [[TheAPIBook]])? But these days I am starting helping with [[Truffle]] and as it is young project (from an [[API]] perspective), there are still things that need to be defined. Discussing them reminds me of the early [[NetBeans]] days. Just yesterday I talked to [[Thomas Wuerthinger|my manager]] and I just can't help myself, I need to share some observations about [[manager]] behavior that I observed when working on [[NetBeans]].
